Third Mission Projects in Dance and Their Sustainability

The symposium brings together dancers, dance educators, artists, health professionals, and students. It focuses on sustainable project formats, participatory methods, and the social and extracurricular impact of dance projects. We will discuss current approaches, research, and practical examples at the intersection of dance, society, health, education, and science.

Open Lectures & Course Packages

Many of the lectures and seminars of the Academy for Dance Pedagogy & Dance Medicine, Austria, are open to the public. Important aspects of injury prevention and performance enhancement such as Communication, Motivational Climate or Stress Management on the neuropsychological side, or Neuromuscular Warm-up and Training or Biomechanics from a Science of Training point of view are lectured recurrently and can be booked by individuals as well as institutions such as schools, universities, academies and theatre companies.

The team of the Academy is looking forward to receiving your request for details on upcoming lectures (office@tanzpaedagogik.eu) and is also happy to bring lectures or whole lecture series (Me&MyBest© or Us&OurBest©) to your institution.

Dance medicine and dance education advice & support

For dancers, dance professionals and those who support them (parents, trainers/coaches, teachers, therapists, doctors, etc.).

​

Whether it's questions about the evidence-based planning of training, (prevention of) overload, the onset of pain during special movements and dance technique screening / movement analysis, or performance enhancement and questions on nutrition and related aspects – the Academy's lecturers and selected graduates work internationally in the fields of dance medicine, medicine, therapy and/or dance pedagogy and are also available for consultations for dancers, dance professionals and supervisors outside the Academy.

The Academy is also networked and cooperates with ta.med, the organization for dance medicine in German speaking countries. This cooperation offers a wide network of specialists at your disposal!
